a very timely article with recent border guard mutiny in B'desh, it has been said that the country's first line of defence, the BDR is being used to destabilise the new govt, what do you think? the current PM is taking a tough stance with the mutiny.
how have the local people in dhaka react edto these events, do they even care about the border guards or the people who live in the border communities?
i know schools surrounding pikhana have been closed, mobile phone services were suspended but will this stop the rebellion spreading? other incidents have been cited in chittagong, cox's bazar and feni, incl road blocks in khulna and indsicriminate firing has been reported in moulvibazar. tripura & w. bengal borders are closed.
it can't be very safe at the moment.
try & keep out of trouble

It is a very interesting article Delwar. I had no idea about the goings on in that remote area, and I am sure its the same for nearly everyone else too. It is good that you are alerting people to what goes on, and that you have taken the intiative to actually follow up the story of an unknown person and community. It seems that it is always the small people that depend on the land that suffer the effects of decisions made by some beaurocrats far, far away and completely out of touch.
I will inform others of your story, and hope to see more from you.
