The United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) is working with the Nepal Government, multilateral, bilateral agencies and civil society to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through support that is consistent with the Government of Nepal’s development priorities.
DFID’s work in Nepal focuses on support for the immediate implementation of the peace process, helping to lay the foundations for an effective and inclusive state, and the promotion of inclusive economic growth
DFID requires a health adviser to contribute to the delivery of its programme.
The health adviser will work with advisers in governance, public sector management, social inclusion, education and health who collectively form the Inclusive and Effective State team. The health portfolio is a major component of DFID’s contribution to development and supports the Nepal Health Sector programme, the national HIV/AIDS programme and the national Safe Motherhood programme.

Located in the DFID office in Kathmandu, the successful applicants will work in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment that places a high premium on inclusive team working.
