Made a nice reading! Entertaining, unbiased and non-judgmental. Just thought the cartoon looked odd... doesn't look like Korean or Manipuri or say, Mongoloid :P

Are Tibetans not Mongoloid? Why has China not spared them?

Its good hear and see the changes influences by Korean culture and fashion but the real changes will come from within the core of being hardworking, competitive and aggressive attitude to bring changes for the welfare of the country. My recent stay in Seoul and Inchoen with a Korean family is something which we can never see in another 50 years in Manipur.
The attitude towards his/her own responsibility is the strongest factor for Korea what it is now. If we want to be like Korean. Responsibility and commitment is something that we as Manipuri should try to understand the real meaning of it. Lets try to copy the best out of it from Korea for changes but not just for leisure and happy pretty faces and fashion.

People of Manipur are better off with the cultural influence from Korean than Bollywood. I applaud these emerging changes in Manipur society.

hey Sunita, I wont start off with the title, I know that only you could think of that! Well a very interesting read, also this is just not in Manipur (maybe the degree varies) The same is the case with Nagaland. during my visit recently I was forced to watch Korean movies by a friend who is a huge fan. And I must admit that I did enjoy it. The classic was a bit too much of a classic. I know I really cannot judge by just watching a few movies, but what I did notice was that like our saas bahu soaps the Korean movies too have start struck lovers and cry most of the time. I also understand and as you have rightfully mentioned that being of Mongoloid features, we all relate to Korean movies. So if China is to invade , we may have a chance of survival then mainland India

' chopsticks in Manipiur' title itself strike me to go through the matter. we manipuris are very versatile and adjustable in any kind whether that may be of food, dress, etc........once a time hindi culture had ruled us fully.......later on somehow after the banned of hindi movies in manipur that culture had gone back from our social norms. being outside the state for long i used to have a positive feeling about the change of trends in the state specially seeing young girls wearing phanek in schools and so on...i was quite happy thinking that once lost time has come back to own our own culture. but who knows the change that brought about in our society. last month i went home after a long years gap, an unevietable tragic had fallen upon me of what i thought of and what i come across. the sudden change in manipur's fashion... total adoption of korean culture and tradition. its human nature, always to look forward and to learn new things whatever it may be, wherever it may be from but................ the question is whats the value of being modern and to own new life in the cost of ONE'S culture and tradition?
ITS A PITY..............
really its time again to analyze ourself istead of fighting for something nonsense
