Burma Elections 2015
A web series on the 2015 Burmese elections, in collaboration with Democratic Voice of Burma.
Despite doubts regarding the fairness of an electoral process commandeered by the military-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) government, the opposition National League for Democracy (NLD) achieved a landslide victory. Though 25% of all parliament seats are occupied by unelected military representatives, the victory marked the end of the direct military rule.
